I hate to have to do this... [01 Jan 2010|12:40am]

Sorry guys!! I decided to make my journal friends only, just cause I want to know who's reading it and make sure that there are no weird people reading it. :/ I'm really afraid of weird people.

Anywaysss, if you're on my friends list you'll definitely stay on my friends list. And if you want to be added to it you can just comment! :)

Happy Birthday Thora Birch!! :D She's so awesome.

Thank GOD it's the weekend. This has been the longest week ever and I'm just so exhausted.

Here's what happened today...

French :: This was the BEST CLASS ever.. Dr. Radwan just DIDN'T even show up! Haha. And Mrs. Trewinsky and Sister Mercedes walked by, and they didn't even notice that we didn't have a teacher. Haha so we just sat there and talked quietly. And then Dr. Radwan came in with like 3 minutes left in the class and was like "I'm SO SORRY I ran late in a meeting! You girls were so good though!!" Hahah we thought we'd get in so much trouble!! Oh well. ;)

English :: Ahhh I fell asleep it was SO boring. Except Mrs. Leitsinger accused me of giving her a look!! I didn't give her a look! Haha. We really wanted to get her off topic but there was no opportunity. :( Quelle dommage.

Oh, and here's my FAVORITE part of the day... CAREER DAY! *shoots self*

After break, some Ursuline alumni came to talk to us about their jobs. Here are the issues that I had with it:
1. HAHAHAHA The development office woman. Anyone reading this from my lunch table should know all about her ;)
2. The fact that they got the "President" of Ursuline to speak to us about HER job, as if any of us would actually ever want to BE the president of Ursuline. Not only that, but it just validates the fact that our school is so stupid because they just had a woman who already works at Ursuline come talk to us. Wow, dumb.
3. Every single person on the program went to college in New England (and only in Massachusetts or Connecticut).
4. All of them (with the exception of like 3) were involved in the science/math fields.
5. The above two points just further compound the fact that there is NO THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX at Ursuline.
6. I seriously think they were all paid to say fantastic things about the education they received at Ursuline.
7. Hahaha the speakers got to sit at special tables at lunch that said "reserved." And they had (what I believe was) catered food. Haha. I <3 our school. I love the stupid act everyone puts on when there are "guests" in the school. Wow, dumb.

I wonder how Ursuline's going to react when I come back to speak at career day, and I'm famous and I have the press with me and I tell everyone that it's OK and perfectly normal to want different things and to think outside the Ursuline/Massachusetts box. It'll be great.

So, some pretty interesting lunch conversations resulted..

The rest of the day was ridiculously boring.

Gill presented A Knight's Tale in Religion.

Ahalya presented her history project on the space program. She did a good job, I just had NO idea what she was talking about. I'm totally not scientific AT ALL.

Then my mom and I went to pick up my brother, and I got Starbucks, and my mom and I had a great discussion about Career Day and the fact that everyone does very similar things in a very similar location and how I want to be totally different. Oh well, I'm perfectly happy being different. :)

Tonight Duke's playing Virginia in the ACC Tournament! W00t! Go Devils!

Can I just say that I've watched the Sugarland "Baby Girl" video like 9589878875827482742 times and I STILL get goosebumps and tears in my eyes when the guy holds up the piece of paper that says "Dreams come true"...? Does anyone else know what I'm talking about. Haha probably not.

Nothing very interesting happened today.

American Dreams was amazing last night, which I'm sure everyone expected me to say considering the fact that I'm so obsessed with that show. I'm glad it's back, even if it is on Wednesday. It better not get cancelled, otherwise I'd be pretty pissed off.

Today was rather blah. Lindsey is in New York City, lucky girl!!

History :: Kara did her presentation on Jackson Pollock. We watched some scenes from the movie Pollock and then we did our own splatter paintings in groups!! Haha it was really hilarious because paint got absolutely everywhere.

Computers :: Everyone was really struggling today. Haha but I just kind of zoned out and played Snood because my computer (surprisingly) wasn't having issues, and everyone else's was. Then we did some other database shit and it was boring.

Algebra :: The test actually wasn't that bad!! Normally all the questions are wicked random and they look like nothing that we studied in the chapter, but these questions actually made sense and I'm really really hoping that I do well :)

Religion :: SO weird today. Mrs. Trawinski came in and observed. But it totally was not like our normal religion class. It was like so forced.. I dunno how to explain it. She just doesn't normally teach us like.. conventionally. And today she was really trying. And she did a good job.. but it just seemed really fake. And Mrs. Trawinski like commented on something that Leah said and Leah got very personally offended!! It was just such a weird class in general. And then after Mrs. Trawinski left, Bridget told us this story about how she kissed Mrs. Trawinski's arm......? HAHAHAHAHAHA. It was so random and SO funny.

Anatomy :: We did a LAB!! It was about the cardiovascular system and it involved taking pulse and blood pressure. And the really annoying freshman bio teacher came in and like randomly started helping out. And then Ms. Harvey came in (!!!!!) and took pictures for yearbook. Haha. And I was like flipping out cause I didn't understand the lab, and Ms. Harvey was like "... yeahhh, Katie had some issues in my class. She likes to ask a lot of questions and she gets stressed really easily." Hahaha. Awww I miss her so muchhhh.

French :: We went to the language lab and I fell asleep because I didn't understand anything that was going on. Mmmm, cool.

English :: Took notes. *snore*

I have no homework.

Today was just kind of an annoying day. Not really for any particular reason. Well, it was dreary and dark and rainy and gloomy and Massachusetts-y all day, so that REALLY sucked.. but other than that.. eh. Blah.

This morning, me, Lindsey, Sarah, and Emily were talking about Mrs. Woodcock and the fact that she's like an "animal activist" and wants to protect all the animals. And people like that generally drive me crazy, just because I think it's really hypocritical because we use animals for basically EVERYTHING. So if Mrs. Woodcock wears leather shoes, guess what, THAT's an animal!! GRR. But.. anyway, Lindsey goes (in all seriousness) "... she wears velour!" Yes, Linds, velour is definitely an animal. Hahahaha.

Algebra :: We had a quiz. It was ok. Not that bad, although maybe I made like a zillion mistakes like I always do with Algebra.

History :: OMGGG sooo entertaining. Allessy gave her presentation on the Beatnik Generation. And they all used drugs like ALL. THE. TIME. And one guy claimed to be high while writing his poetry. And so she read some of it, and Mrs. Petti goes, "maybe we'd understand this better if we were also under the influence." Hahahaha. But seriously the poetry was like "I am floating down a river of condoms." It made me laugh for like AN HOUR.......... hahahahahhahahahah SEE I'm still laughing. Cause I'm five.

GYM! :: Leah and I presented our project because she really wanted to show the pictures of Jessica Simpson at the end. Hahahaha. And then we played Scattegories because we had like 5 seconds left and a few people from our class were taking the "national latin exam." Haha.

Study :: Awwwee my class had a heart-to-heart with Mrs. Anderson about college. She like went around the room asking people if they had begun their college search. And I said that I was going to California this summer to look at colleges out there and she was like "WOW what do you want to do in California?!" And I told her, expecting her to be all like.. skeptical. But she was SO awesome about it and she was like "Wow Katie, that's really great that you know what you want to do and you have such a clear idea. Most people have no clue." And I was really happy that she said that rather than being like "Mehhhh go to BC/BU/Holy Cross/[insert name of other Massachusetts school.]"

LUNCH :: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Leah was talking and then all of a sudden, Mrs. Keverian like appeared behind her and scared her like to death.. and then she started like interrupting our lunch conversation to talk about Leah's sister. And Leah was like "I'm not tutoring her!" And Mrs. Keverian like flipped out. Hahahahaa. It was just REALLY funny. And Mrs. Woodcock was also wearing this really interesting blue J-Lo type hat. So we had fun with that one, obviously.

English :: I take back everything I said yesterday. I do NOT like the Mel Gibson Hamlet. Cool how A, it looks like Hamlet is having sex with his mother because he's like THRUSTING on the bed, and B, Hamlet's mom just starts blatantly MAKING OUT with him. Ewewewewewewewew.

Anatomy :: Mrs. Fleck got off subject a little. And guess what we're doing tomorrow?!!!!!!! HER FAVORITE... LAB! She's doing the same lab with the Bio class, so she's just going to have like a double orgasm thinking about LAB DAY tomorrow! And then she was like "I guess the test is going to have to be Monday because you have career day Friday. So I don't want to waste time, I might throw in another lab in there somewhere." HAHAHAH.

French :: We talked about Michael Jackson and Martha Stewart..? Haha. Cool. That's basically it. No homework tonight though, w00t.

I guess that's all I have to say!!

When it feels like my dreams are so far away * [08 Mar 2005|01:01am]
[ music | counting crows // colorblind * ]

I actually didn't mind being at school today. It wasn't so bad.

Liz wasn't there though!! I missed her.

This morning, Leah and I had an adventure at the Powerade machine. I went down to get some Powerade and it wouldn't take my dollar, so we had to go in to the kitchen and ask Pedro for change for a dollar. Haha.. and Mr. O'Brien was in the kitchen with him, and they both gave me the weirdest look. But then Pedro (because he can't speak English) gave me another dollar bill. And I was like, "wait.. no.. I need quarters!" Haha.. I love my school.

English :: We successfully managed to get the test moved to Wednesday thanks to the "national latin exam." Haha. So to review, we watched the Mel Gibson version of Hamlet (acts I - III.) Everyone says it's bad, but I actually liked it better than the other one. Especially because Glenn Close is my idol. And I secretly thought Mel Gibson was kind of hot in it :X. But I do like Kate Winslet better as Ophelia.

Anatomy :: ... I don't even remember. It must've been so boring. I remember writing "Miss Hollywood" and like "California here we come" all over my binder dividers. Actually, we did get her off subject today though. Because someone asked her about why we shiver. And that led us to a bunch of random things about body temperature. HAHA and Betsy brought up Titanic. And how he froze in the water. And everyone was like "Mrs. Fleck, is that realistic? I think we should watch it to find out." Haha. She's never seen it. Go figure, cause she only likes scientific things.

French :: We had a quiz on the subjunctive. I got a 100 on it. We have another one tomorrow on the irregular verbs. Blah. Then we read chapter 12 and it was about an alcoholic, which made me laugh.

Humanities :: Oh dear. Ahalya and the librarian did a presentation on Martial Arts. It was interesting. And Ahalya demonstrated her bowstaff skills. And then at the end, when they asked us if we had any questions, I asked them to demonstrate the nunchucks. And the whole time, all I could think of was Napoleon Dynamite and it was just really, really amusing. Wow. There's people in my school who actually HAVE nunchuck skills. *jealous*

Algebra :: Mmmmm I hate Ms. Connolly. Uh.. we just went over the homework. We have a quiz tomorrow, which I hopefully will do well on because I got a 76 on the last one. ew. Thank God this is my last year of math.

History :: Anne Marie presented her project on John Steinbeck, and Catie presented hers on Aaron Copeland. They were both really good. And Catie's reminded me of ballet when I used to dance to the Rodeo music.

Religion :: BEST CLASS!!!!!!!! :D Sarah and Erika finished their presentation on What's Eating Gilbert Grape (suchhh a good movie.) And then Caroline, Kathleen, and Sarah started their presentation on THE NOTEBOOK! :D Yay. That made me so happy.

So. I have to go study/do random homework. Ew.

GONE WITH THE WIND IS ON!! And I just saw my favorite part. Yay!

... Of course, I own it.. and I can watch it whenever I want.. but it's just cooler when it's on TV. Haha.

"As God is my witness.. I'll NEVER be hungry again!!!!"

*le sigh*

Anyway.. I didn't do anything today. Basically, all I did was some anatomy stuff and I wrote the French paper. I was pretty productive, actually. Then I sat around watching some country music videos.. I discovered VH1 Country and now I think I'm addicted.

I started watching Girl With a Pearl Earring. But then I had to eat dinner, so I didn't get to finish it.

After dinner, my mom and I had a long discussion about college and acting and everything. I think we've established that she just wants me to be an educated person.. which, obviously, I have no objection to. But I'm never going to be a scientist or a mathemetician or anything involving those fields, so I'm going to stop studying them as soon as possible, regardless of whether it will make me less "rounded" or not. I really don't care. I see no reason to continue studying things that I despise.

She did sound kind of annoyed when I mentioned the fact that everything I actually enjoy learning about and thinking about remotely deals with acting. I like English because I can relate it to acting. I like history because I can relate it to acting. I like psychology because I can relate it to acting. Those things on their own, not so much.. but I like them because they deal with acting. She's going to have to get used to the fact that naturally I have no interest in most intellectual things.. but when placed in the context of acting, I'm very interested.

Well.. I guess that's all I have to say. I did find this article that I was going to rant about, but my favorite movie is on and I guess I'm not really in a ranting mood. Heh.

Soooo...

DAY THREE WITH NO SCHOOL!!!

This is absolutely astonishing. I cannot believe that Ursuline would call off school for three days straight. But.. we did get like 8 more inches of snow. COOL. So I still can't leave my house. Eww.

I love having a DVD player in my room. I can just sit in my big comfy chair with my big white blanket and watch movies all day. And I can leave my heater on all day and be extremely warm while everyone else freezes.

Today I watched Penny Serenade with Cary Grant and Dark Journey with Vivien Leigh. Penny Serenade was very good, and it made me cry a lot, and I can't imagine who beat Cary Grant for Best Actor, but he would've had to be like SUPER amazing because Cary Grant is amazing. I loveeee Cary Grant so much. Haha.. but I'm sure no one cares. Dark Journey was good, but kind of confusing since it dealt with like World War I spies. But as usual, Vivien Leigh was amazing. She's SUCH a good actres.. oh my God.

... Watching her just confirms how much I want to be an actress.

Duke is playing Maryland tonightttt! I hate Maryland with a passion. GO DUKE!

Anyway, haha.. for those of you who don't really care about my stupid old movie obsessions, this was a pretty boring entry. Oh well ;)

So. I haven't left my house since Friday. That's.. um.. 4 days. Which is awful. I need to get out. But I don't want to go to school. I want to go to Starbucks. Haha. :X.. or the mall. Or Los Angeles.

Caitlin is in Los Angeles. I miss her :(

Apparently we're getting more snow tomorrow. My mom already said that I most likely won't be going to school as a result of nobody being able to drive me.. and me being terribly afraid of driving in the snow. Oh well! I'm not complaining.

I've been watching 21 Jump Street all day. It's a really good show! Sarah let me borrow her DVDs.. since she's an obsessive Johnny Depp fan and owns a copy of like everything he's ever done ;) Haha. But it's good. I especially liked the episode where Johnny had a crush on his English teacher. He's so adorable. I love him.

It's kind of fun just being home and not having anything stupid to worry about.. like no homework because it's not like they can assign anything ;). So there's nothing hanging over my head. I'm really a fan of this. I could get used to it. Heh. I just want to get out of my house.

*SPAZ* They announced Oscar nominees today. BOTH Johnny and Leo are nominated, of course. So I'm very happy for the both of them. Nicole wasn't nominated :(. Grr. Oh well, she can't win every year. I'm hoping Cate Blanchett wins Best Supporting Actress. Not that I've even seen the movie.. but just anything related to Katharine Hepburn, I want to win stuff. Because she's the best. So um.. I'm going to shut up, because I'm almost positive that nobody cares about my rambling about the Oscars. Haha.

So uh.. here's some cool news.. we're supposed to get like 28 to 32 inches of snow. That's like.. *ponders*.. 2 feet and a bunch of inches. COOL. I <3 New England.

So basically tonight and tomorrow all day I am stuck in my house with my family. Which I suppose would not be SO bad, but my brother just forced me off the TV. Not cool. :(.

Duke is playing tonight, and tomorrow is the Patriots game. And all I have to do for homework is decorate my religion journal! Haha.

I cleaned my room. It looks super.. now my dad can put in my very own personal heater. Hahaaa my mom figured when I was washing my hands with scalding hot water that.. maybe that wasn't such a safe thing to do.. so she decided I needed a heater. :) Hey, if you're going to make me live here, at least make it bearable.

So yeah.. I basically had no reason to write this other than to complain about New England. Which sucks a lot. But you knew that. Because I say so every five seconds.

I just watched Don Juan DeMarco.. it was SO good. Hah.. I found it to be really hilarious, even though I don't know if it was supposed to be a comedy. I loved when Johnny was teaching the male nurse how to flamenco outside the mental hospital. Haha. I love Johnny. I love how EVERY single one of his roles is so different. He's never done two movies that are even remotely similar. And he can do like every accent.. haha. He's so good at that. :) Hopefully I can have diversity in my roles like that, too.

Last night I watched The Stepford Wives. And I honestly don't get why people thought that movie sucked so much, because I absolutely loved it. Maybe it's just cause I'm an obsessive Nicole fan.. but I thought it was really funny. I mean.. Nicole actually wasn't THAT great in it.. but Bette Midler and Glenn Close were hilarious. But.. haha it's so stupid, I could actually relate to some stuff in it.. like when Walter said that they were moving to Connecticut (which, I didn't realize they conveniently located Stepford in NEW ENGLAND...) but I was like, "Ohhhhh wow, they really got it right!" Cause like... New England and Stepford are like synonymous. Seriously.. and my favorite line was at the end when Glenn Close said, "And I thought, 'where would no one notice a town full of robots?! CONNECTICUT!" Seriously. There could be towns full of robots in Connecticut RIGHT NOW and no one would notice because no one EVER goes there. But um.. Stepford itself in the movie looked like a lot of towns in Massachusetts. Which is just sad. I love how a town in a movie that's supposed to be so blatantly fake to like an exaggerated degree actually reminds me of where I live. Wow. That's pathetic.

It's Christian Dior's birthday!

So.. today was Friday!! Which puts me in an excellent mood.

Sarah let me borrow Don Juan DeMarco, which I am SO excited to watch becauseeee number one, it has Johnny Depp in it.. and number two, it has Marlon Brando in it! Yay!

So today it was freezing. Like this morning the temperature was -1 degree. How sad is that? I was legit wearing 7 layers of clothing to school.

Mmm.. they made the announcement this morning that the semi is postponed for snow. Hahaa everyone was like devastated. Wow. My school is really super interesting. Um.. I think it's really dumb that they cancel the semi for snow that they don't even know is actually coming. But.. I had this discussion with my mom last night.. apparently they don't put salt on the roads in Dedham.. BECAUSE OF MY FAVORITE REASON.. THE ENVIRONMENT! Yep.. it's more important to protect the "wildlife" than make the roads safe to drive on. Cool. I <3 Massachusetts. Um.. but I didn't exactly care because I wasn't going to the semi anyway.. I just wanted to vent about how dumb Massachusetts is.. as usual.

In English we basically just talked about the fact that the semi was postponed. Again, everyone showed their devastation. Haha the class next to us had no teacher, so Brittany had to go in and watch the class. I love how our school is SO ghetto that STUDENTS actually have to substitute for teachers. Wow. Sad. And we talked about Hamlet.

Anatomy.. Fleck gave us a pop quiz. Of course. Mmmm she's annoying. But I got a 100 on it, so whatev. It was the same exact diagram as the one in the workbook.

Study.. did the French homework. Of course I knew like NONE of it.. because I can't speak French. Sad how the French program at UA sucks a lot and I'm like completely lost in that class. Thanks to Keverian screwing me over last year. But there was actually one thing in Little Prince that I liked.. the part when the Little Prince was talking about where he comes from and how small it is, and he gets all sad, and he says something like, "Right in front of you, you can't go very far." It reminded me of my town.

At lunch, my table decided that we should make a documentary called "True Life: My School Can't Afford Heat." And then after lunch the teachers allowed us to wear extra layers. So I put on yet another layer. I looked like a marshmallow. Hahaa I was wearing white tights AND knee socks, and I asked Leah if it was noticable, and she was like, "No Katie, your legs are just naturally that color." Hahahaha I'm sooo white. Mmm so yeah I wore like 8 layers in the afternoon classes.

Awwwe in Religion we listened to all these inspirational songs. <3 <3. Fun. I love that class.

Then of course iI had to deal with math, in which Connolly decided it'd be cool to call me illiterate. So I asked her a question about one of the problems last night which she did NOT explain yesterday, and APPARENTLY the book had a formula for it which I was unaware of, and I was like "We didn't go over this yesterday." And she goes, "Yeah. I thought you could read." Hahaha everyone was laughing hysterically. She's such a bitch.

Apparently Mrs. Dempsey has a screenname? And Sophomores are talking to her?? Haha.

Ew in History we got on the subject of politics. And I hate talking about politics in History because my fave person is in that class. And Petti was talking about Bush's inaugural speech and she said like it was good and stuff, and said person was making comments under her breath.. ew. Seriously. Maturity. Find some. It's fine to disagree but like snide comments are totally unnecessary. Ew.

Mmm then I came home. And then I went to Starbucks and got my mocha to celebrate the weekend! w00t.

I miss public school. :( I wish my high school experience was like a movie. Haha.

So.. uhh.. today was annoying. As are most of my days at Ursuline.

Highlights:
.*. Anatomy.. uhh.. changed seats. I decided to sit in the back, because I don't want to be any closer to Fleck than I have to be. Ugh I have to do a stupid "report" for tomorrow. Oh well. It'll take me like .5 seconds. I just hate how she gives us stupid crap to do in one night and it seems like she makes up her assignments like on the spot. And like today there were all these random noises in the room.. like it sounded like stuff in the back of the classroom was like on fire or like falling on the floor. It was so weird. Oh well.

.*. HERE's a cool story. So. Ursuline is SO ghetto that its entire heating system is like nonexistent. So it's always like -50 degrees in like every room. Well.. that's annoying. However, overnight apparently a pipe burst. So we got into school and like Trawinski is wearing rubber boots and like wading around in puddles of water that have collected downstairs. And the bathroom was like flooded and Radwan and McCabe's rooms were like totally soaked. COOL. I go to the ghettoest school ever. And Sister Mercedes was like mopping up water. Plus this meant that the school was even MORE freezing than usual. Not only that, but the fucking temperature OUTSIDE was like -48982 because Massachusetts is insanely dumb. Ew....

.*. As a result of the above predicament, French was held in the tea room. STUPID. But at least we didn't get homework and it like delayed class and made it different. We just read Little Prince and talked about the questions.

.*. Here's a quote:
- Linds: My pipes burst once. Like.. remember that snow day that we got off school? Because of snow?
- Emily: No, Linds, that was rain.
- Linds: *confused look*

Apparently sarcasm is lost on some ;) Haha.

.*. English.. got back our midterms. I got a 97, so I was pretty proud. Mmm that's all I remember from that class.

.*. Study... Mrs. Costa told us that if we continued to talk, we'd get an "office referral." What the fuck is that?? Wowwww Mrs. Costa.. DRUGS. YOU. LOTS OF THEM.

.*. History.. talked about stupid economic crap. And got our midterms back. I did very well :) I was happy about that one.

.*. Relig.. watched Daly's engagement video!! AWWWWWWWEEEEE. It was so cute. And we got our midterms back. 92. W00t.

.*. Connolly is stupid. End of story.

Ok. Here's a comment. I'm guessing some nun in the 1500s thought it'd be a brilliant idea to make schools for all girls.. but whoever invented that concept was an idiot. Because seriously it's the worst idea ever. And I hate how there's so much drama. It makes me so angry. And at public school there was drama.. but ugh never like this drama. Stupiddddddd.

Mmmmmmmm so then after school I went to Starbucks with my mom. The people at Starbucks always try to make conversation with you. It's pretty funny.

So yeah.. now I gotta get going on my oxytosin project!!! *shoots self*

Highlights from the day:

- My computer sucks and is annoying and should die.
- I was several points away from literally failing my Algebra midterm. Cool because I totally thought I did OK on it. Whatever Connolly is so stupid and she absolutely needs to die.
- In History we're doing projects about 21st century America, and I'm doing mine on Motion Pictures from the silent era to today.. I AM SO EXCITED YOU HAVE NOOO IDEA. Haha nobody else took that project because they knew how devastated I'd be if I couldn't do it. Hahahaha. Wow I HAVE A LIFE.
- Gym was dumb. I got a B- on my "notebook." At least it's a pass or fail class. B- is passing, so I'm satisfied.
- Studyyy instead of SAT prep. W00t.
- Ew we're starting Hamlet tomorrow. Well actually Hamlet will probably be like infinity times better than Huck Finn.
- Mrs. Keverian like assaulted me in the hallway today and tried to talk to me about acting. Ughhhhhhh I HATE YOU woman.
- I did super well on Anatomy which I totally was not expecting. I got a 97. That made my day slightly better. Anddd I'm doing my hormone project on Oxytosin which was the thing in the religion video last year about "pizza love." Wow I miss that. Hahaa.
- Mmmmm French I got a 93 which was SO hot cause I thought I failed.

I drove home on the highway. YEP. That's right. By myself. Highway. Ohhhhhhhh yes I am so good.

So I have to go get my eyebrows done. Ughhhhhhhhh life.

Caitlin came over yesterday morning and we went to the Natick Mall. We got our nails done!! I got a french manicure. It looks superrrr gorgeous. Then we ate lunch and shopped a lot. I got a cute skirt from Hollister. Well actually it's like a "skort." And it's superrr short. But um.. too bad ;). It's for summer. I can't WAIT for summer. Plus it says California on it. And as EVERYONE knows, that's my favorite place ever. Caitlin got lots of stuff as well. I also got a cashmere sweater from Express that was on sale for $9.99. I was very proud of myself. Haha. I'm such a bargain hunter. But it's cute. :)

Then we came back here and watched some of the football game. The Patriots won.

THENNNN we watched the Golden Globes!!! Grr I was so pissed that they didn't show Nicole until the END of the show. She looked gorgeous though. Her dress was amazing. *sigh* I love her. All the Desperate Housewives, especially Marcia Cross, looked fabulous. And Desperate Housewives won best comedy! Anddd Teri Hatcher won best actress in a comedy! W00t. Johnny didn't win :( And neither did Nicole :(. Oh well, maybe next year. Johnny is so underrated. Like he NEEDS to win, and SOON. Maybe he'll win the Oscar. But.. Leo is really good too. So I'm kind of torn. I love both of them. Haha. And I discovered that Minnie Driver is ACTUALLY British, and not just faking the accent. Hahaha. Smart.

This morning Cait and I watched Napoleon Dynamite after I tried to make my stupid computer work. Gahhh I think it has a virus. Ew. I hate technology. Always and forever. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE IS THE BEST. Minus Hayley (Sp?) Duff. She sucks times infinity. But she was good for the part of a stupid bitch.

SPEAKING of stupid bitches, HERE's a story for ya. Sooo.. we drop Caitlin off.. my dad then decides that he wants to buy a high definition TV for the Super Bowl. Right now. So I'm like.. k... so we go to Sears and look at them. He wants like this GIANT one. So we talk to the guy, and he's super nice. And then my dad wanted to go to Best Buy and see if they would match the price at Sears. So we go there, and the girl working in the TV section is SUCHHHHHHHH a bitch. She's like "ugh I HATE calling Sears to do price matches." But all she wanted to do was flirt with the guy working in the TV section. Ugh. IDIOT. So my dad was like, "Oh it's fine we'll just buy it at Sears." Hahaha and then she was like "WAIT hold on," because she finally realized that we were actually going to buy it, not just obnoxiously shopping around and making her do unnecessary work. But like honestly she had no people skills whatsoever. She was so rude to us. And my dad asked her something and she was just like "I have no idea." Like.. girl.. YOU WORK AT THE STORE you should know some stuff. Hah I was just standing there with my arms folded like STARING her down because ughhhh you do not fucking mess with me when like my dad was going to spend a LOT of money on a TV and honestly you cannot expect to make money off of people if you act like a fucking bitch. She refused to get us a TV stand.. she was just like "We don't have that model." And then like refused to even look. And she asked my dad if he wanted this stupid service plan and my dad was like "No thanks" cause it's like 500 dollars for nothing, and the girl was like "Can I ask why?" in like this really bitchy tone. So my dad had set everything up and we were going up front to the cashier to pay.. and my dad was like "That was totally ridiculous.. she was sooooo pleasant." I was like "PLEASE do not give this woman our money." So we decided to cancel the order and go to Sears and buy it from the nice man.

Anyway, end of story.. we're getting a brand new big screen TV for our basement. And we gave our money to the nice man instead of the bitchy girl. Ew ew ew. People. Gah I wanted to tell her so badly to take a fucking Midol and stop trying to push us around.

Ugh. So it's been a day.

Haha now I'm planning to watch my Desperate Housewives tape from last night. W00t.

French midterm = absolute death. Uck. I don't even want to go into it but my grade is absolutely going to plummit.

And my parents are being wicked annoying right now. I want to drive tomorrow so I don't have to wait around forever for them to come pick me up. It's my four day weekend. I want out of Ursuline ASAP. But it's going to be "foggy." Massachusetts is stupid. Why can't it be sunny and warm all the time? I don't get how people complain about global warming when it's ALWAYS cold.

And math.. ughhhh. Although it wasn't as hard as I expected. Whatever I don't care.

I have absolutely no energy right now. Except just enough to say that I'm mad at Dr. Radwan for thinking that we like to be "challenged."

Tomorrow's English and History. Yay they should be easy. Haha watch me fail...

Mmm.. so today actually went pretty well. Well, with the exception of the fact that we didn't actually learn some of the stuff on the religion midterm ANDDD there was this ridiculous "put things in chronological order" section. That was pretty messed up. And she included Augustine, which I neglected to read... haha. It was just sooo boring. Oh well. She'll have to scale them because everyone thought it was super hard. I didn't think it was SUPER hard... just hard. And Anatomy actually wasn't that bad. But it feels soooo awesome to have anatomy out of the way.

NOW I have to study for my two least favorite subjects.. MATH and FRENCH. So obviously I'm procrastinating by writing in here.

I hate how they give us an hour and a half in between midterms to do nothing. I wish we could take one, eat lunch, take the other, and go home early. But it's Ursuline so they have to do things the stupid way.

And this is actually the first time in my entire life that I am NOT praying for a snow day. I hope all the snow and ice misses us entirely. Because if school is cancelled, we have to go Friday to make up our midterms. And I absolutely flat out refuse to give up my four day weekend because fucking Massachusetts decides to be stupid and snow. So for the record, this is the first time EVER that I do NOT want a snow day.

And then on the way home from school I had to go to Starbucks to celebrate the first day of midterms being over. The guy who works there like knows me by now. I'm the girl in the uniform. Haha. But he like knows what I want. Which is really funny. And also kind of sad, because it shows how much I go to Starbucks that the people know me.. :X.

Mmm and the stupid traffic light was broken so I had to wait in line for like an hour before I finally got impatient and just went on red. Stupid traffic lights. Haha I'm sooo impatient. Not good.

So yeah I really don't feel like studying. Blah. But I have to because tomorrow is going to be super hard and I hope I make it out alive.

Brad and Jen split up :*(. My life is over. Emoooo.

Ummmm SO. Yesterday. I studied for the religion midterm for like ALL NIGHT (which, I was NOT expecting it to take that long, yet it did..) umm cool. Midterms in general always drive me crazy. Then my parents gave me my birthday presents!! :)

Here's what I got:

* 4 (COUNT THEM!!) Nicole Kidman movies: The Others, The Stepford Wives, Eyes Wide Shut, and To Die For. [[hence the gorgeous picture of Nicole at the top of the entry.]]
* 4 other non-Nicole movies (but equally excellent): The Sixth Sense, Ghost World, Lolita, The Graduate [hahaha what an interesting combination...]
* SATIN SHEETS!
* Pink very convincing looking (but fake) Louis Vuitton bag.
* Blue Chanel scarf! (Also fake, but very convincing.)
* Purple & blue sweaters from Express.. soo pretty.
* Faux pearl necklaces from Express.
* Pink ribbon belt.
* Hot black shoes. ;)
* 2 pairs of earrings: one cameo and one white gold.

Mmmmm so yes. Very awesome.

Now I'm procrastinating like woah. I think I'll watch the Duke game and study History at the same time, since History should be super easy.

I've actually finished Anatomy for the weekend. I feel much better with that done. I don't even have to look at it again until monday night. W00t.

So.. the absolute LAST thing that I want to be doing right now is begin studying for midterms. *Napoleon Dynamite voice* Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh x infinity.

Yesterday was my birthday!! It was a little sad because my dad wasn't home :(. I missed him. But he came home today and he surprised me and picked me up from school and then took me to Starbucks, so that was awesome. And I had a snow day, which was also awesome. But I was a little sad that I was like stuck inside the house because my mom couldn't shovel out the driveway. So I basically did nothing all day, except I watched To Die For with Nicole Kidman which is one of my newest movie obsessions. Suzanne is like me multiplied. Like she's OBSESSED with being on TV (as a journalist).. and she'll like do ANYTHING for her career (except she killed someone.. I would not do that.) But it was supposed to be like a dark comedy.. I loved it. She's awesome. But umm.. my mom let me open two presents last night even though my dad wasn't there. My brother got me a Gone With the Wind calendar ;).. and my grandmother got me the most GORGEOUS ring ever.. it's sapphire. I was like blown away by how gorgeous it is. I felt like Princess Diana. Ohhh man. My grandmother's gifts are always the best. Hehe.

Andddd today was school. Which was stupid. AS USUAL!

We tried SO hard to cancel the French test, but Radwan refused so we had to take it. And it was dumb. Although it was one of Dr. Rice's tests.. making it only mildly disgusting.

English.. went over what's going to be on the midterm (which, btw, is like a buttload of stuff..). Not cool. Two essayssss.. ew. *throws up*.

The Anatomy quiz was pretty hard. Haha Betsy went through the book highlighting all the funny names.. there was this one person named Jenny Dip. I really wish my name was Jenny Dip. Ummm.. that's about it. We kind of reviewed..

Study.. was random.. just talked, and Jennie looked through my purse because she wanted to see "the person inside." Haha ;). And um everyone was like "go figure Katie has an Audrey Hepburn wallet that has an organized change section." That's so me. Haha and I expressed my hatred for Laguna Beach. Ughhh those people are annoying.

Religion.. uhhhh Ms. Daly wasn't there so we had MY FAVORITE PERSON Dr. Perry!!!!!!! Ew. She's one of those obnoxious people who's always like "Be quiet!! You wouldn't want me to say you couldn't talk at all, would you? Whisper!" SHUT UP. Ewww omg. But yeah.. Leah and I talked about the semi.. haha. No comment.

Algebra. Ew Connolly needs to die. The midterm is only 33 questions. Which means that each one has got to be worth like 583982984298 points. COOL because I'm definitely failing. But I did get a 100 on the quiz from Wednesday so that made me pretty happy. Especially because my grade is like a 2, so that helps it a lot.

History. Talked about economics and how Starbucks has a monopoly. Heheh. Too bad, Starbucks is like my life. I really don't care. :D. Umm is it bad that I like idolize the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts and stuff, even though they were like super rich and everyone else was like super poor and they had big ostentatious houses? :X. Too bad.

Mmmmm.. I guess now that I'm done writing about my day, I actually have to study. GAH. I hate midterms, they should die. But tonight I'm actually celebrating my birthday, and all my classes can just screw themselves, so yay. ;)
